Visitor Analytics is a simple website analytics service which measures the traffic and visitors' general details of our website. By collecting these statistics, we can make our website visitors' experience better (e.g. which pages they visit and when, where they are approximately located, where does a user land first or if they are coming from a specific referral).

Basically, as a website owner using Visitor Analytics, we are using cookies to collect data about our visitors' device type and screen size, approximate location, browser, OS, page visits, bounce rate, conversions and popular content on the website. All this data is pseudonymized and Visitor Analytics will never use the collected data to identify individual users or to match it with additional information on an individual user. Each visitor has control over the placement of cookies.

2. Wix Analytics & Reports

Wix Analytics & Reports is a built-in feature provided by Wix for tracking and analysing visitors' actions on the website. By collecting these data, we can optimise our website visitors' experience (e.g. which pages they visit and when, where they are approximately located, where does a user land first or if they are coming from a specific referral). The analysis of the data is similar to Visitor Analytics and by using it, it just enables us to compare the consistency of data together with Visitor Analytics.

 

Basically, as a website owner using Wix Analytics & Reports, we are using cookies to collect data about the Internet traffic information: ​​

  • Traffic over Time: day of visit, page views, site sessions, unique visitors, average session duration

  • Traffic by Time of the Day: what day of the week and during what hour

  • Traffic by First Page Viewed: which page visitors land on when they reach the your site

  • Traffic by Location: from what place do visitors come from 

  • Traffic by Device: Device Type (mobile or desktop for example)

  • New vs. Returning Visitors 

  • Referral by Category: sees how people find our site: direct URL, social, or search

All this data is pseudonymized and Wix will never use the collected data to identify individual users or to match it with additional information on an individual user. Each visitor has control over the placement of cookies.​
